ACTION ITEM in MARIN: MMWD discussing using Glyphosate. WHY? & What to do about it!
Valeri knows just about everything and without here this newsletter just would not be heads up on local news. Thank you Valeri (who gave me permission to use her name) for this info and discussion about why in the world Marin is even considering Glyphosate use. We live in the forest with a lot of invasive plants including brooms on our steep hills out back. The last few years we have hired GOATS from Mendel & Shevy once each spring to clear out these plants. These is no need for Glyphosate.
Our newly elected MMWD representatives, are discussing spraying roundup/glyphosate near Marin drinking water- again--- "Revisiting" Pesticides on the Watershed” contact J Reynolds <jrey94925@gmail.com> if you are willing to be part of a zoom meeting- and he will send you the invitation.
Please ask your friends and neighbors to weigh in with MMWD board members: Please direct your comments to all:
Divison I: Director Matt Samson, MSamson@MarinWater.org
Division II: Director Monty Schmitt, President, MSchmitt@MarinWater.org
Division III: Director Ranjiv Khush, Vice President, RKhush@MarinWater.org
Division IV: Director Jed Smith, JSmith@MarinWater.org
Division V: Director Larry Russell, LRussell@MarinWater.org
please read below- and Peter Anderson’s response
If you oppose poisoning our water, please email the MMWD board members- and attend the next meeting- numbers matter- more than ever.

Date: Sun, Mar 26, 2023 at 9:27 PMThis is Peter’s outreach to our local Marin Sierra Club:
I plan to attend. Does MMWD Board member, Ranjiv, know that Napa Valley has the highest rate of children's cancer in the state of California? It is attributed to the wide spread use of Roundup by the wine industry. Sonoma County is # two for the same reason.
Peter Anderson
Hi Everyone,
We would like to invite you to zoom in with Ranjiv Khush (your MMWD District 3 Board Member) on:
Thursday, March 30 @ 5:30 - 6:15 PM
Issue: "Revisiting" herbicides on the watershed (addressing only this single issue)
At the March16th MMWD Watershed Committee meeting, 4 of the 5 board members (Jed Smith was not present) and several MMWD staff members brought up "revisiting" the use of herbicides on the watershed. Even a few so-called "environmentalists" (the usual suspects) spoke up in support of herbicide use saying they should be added back to the "toolbox." Broom, fires, and saving money were the main thoughts behind "revisiting."
After so many years during which the watershed was managed without the use of herbicides, it was surprising to hear this issue raised again. We imagine that many of you, like us, thought this issue had been resolved. None of us relishes the thought of fighting this battle again, but we need to communicate the strength of the support for the herbicide ban since 4 out of 5 of the current board members weren't on the board during the last time we fought this and won. It's not like the evidence in support of herbicide use has gotten better during this time.
The watershed is the lifeline to all that lives around it. We need to make sure that it is protected and must quash any thoughts or conversations about "revisiting" pesticides.
Please let us know either way if you can join us to discuss this issue with Ranjiv. I will send zoom invites to all who can make it.Thank you.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. won historic $290 million case against giant Monsatan and Roundup weed-killer. For those who don’t know…Roundup is Glyphosate. RFK, Jr’s team claimed the product likely caused the cancer of their client. Ya think???
IMPORTANT PMA Manifesto Meeting, Tomorrow, Tuesday night March 28, 6 PM
I am sharing this without knowing much about the presenters, but I do agree that what Sunnie is sharing here is valid - and if you’re thinking of doing a PMA, this might be helpful. If so, please let give us a summary, and if not, sorry…
This is a critical meeting for anyone needing PMA advice, and how to navigate the powers that be. Please share!
Topic: The PMA Manifesto
Private Membership Associations (a.k.a. PMAs) are a growing trend as people who are tired of the increase of trifling government meddling in their private and business affairs seek solutions to get away from their tyranny. The PMA, when operated properly, can offer great benefits to business owners, such as overriding nanny-state regulations that prevent adults from exercising their guaranteed right to contract between one another, among many others.
Unfortunately, due to lazy research and a misunderstanding of the principles of the Science of Law, the PMA concept has been promoted to suggest that, by simply calling one's business a "PMA" by filling out a few documents, one can run their business openly and notoriously, like any other business, and not pay any license fees or taxes to the local municipality, nor heed local rules and regulations. This is proving disastrous for some who are getting this myth dispelled for them the hard way, with government agents showing up at their door and issuing citations that, if not handled properly, ultimately lead to shutdown orders.
We are pleased to present The PMA Manifesto, a group of folk lawyers in the PMA realm who have done a deep dive into the laws supporting private membership associations. They have recently released a 25-page report covering every aspect of what they consider the "12 Common Myths About PMAs". Join us this Tuesday for a review of these 12 common myths, after which we will have a Q&A session with our panelists.
Those who are already running a PMA will definitely not want to miss this meeting. Please feel free to forward this announcement to anyone who may benefit from this information. IDP is an open group and everyone is invited. However, we only have 100 "seats" in our Zoom conference so come early to avoid the rush.

GMO SCIENCE SEMINAR, THIS WEEKEND
Let’s support our friend Michelle Perro, MD & Homeopath and learn how we can regain our health. She, along with Dr. Stephanie Seneff, and other experts will be sharing life-changing and for some life-saving information. Saturday & Sunday April 1 and 2, 3 hours each day. Sign up link https://gmoscience.org/v-symposium/
Together, with some of the most brilliant minds I know - people like Dr. Gazda and Dr. Forman - we have been spending the last several years trying to understand the problem and find solutions for people.
If you are unsure what to do, or you have a loved one, who might be experiencing an aggressive advancement of disease or a bizarre new diagnosis, please join us for this virtual symposium that will explain not only how spike proteins and other toxins are affecting people’s health but also, affordable ways to address it at home.
Unfortunately, many doctors are unsure how to fix these problems. Physicians were not given the playbook on how to help those in need, so we’ve looked at the research ourselves, worked tirelessly with many patients and created protocols that make a difference.
Our virtual event is April 1 and April 2 from 12 PM PST - 3 PM PST. The event will be recorded, so if you need this information but you have plans, you can still receive this recording and get what you need.
Hey, How ‘bout that WEATHER???, another message from Valeri (shared with permission)
i know for sure this has never happened on this date before [ice in the morning]
interesting that this is something the IJ does NOT cover
i guess the days of global warming propaganda are over-
i just dumped out a bowl of ice covered water on the lower deck- it generally does NOT freeze next to the creek even when it freezes in the front
what will it do to the citrus, the pollinators, birds
this is all being created by the toxic dumps in our skies
Valeri, like Reinette, is a solutionarian, and she suggests products like these from Gardener’s Supply Company to protect plants and soil, and to encourage pollinators in our gardens.
And I’m wondering who’s wrapping copper coils around posts to create electroculture? Please post in the Substack comments if you’ve used copper coils or electroculture and your findings. Thank you.
Local Action Item: San Geronimo Valley Peeps: Point of Sale Voluntary Inspection Application
The Community Development Agency has initiated a new service for the San Geronimo Valley Voluntary Point of Sale Inspection Application. This service is for property owners and prospective buyers of streamside properties located wholly or partially within the stream conservation area in San Geronimo Valley. Once your application is signed and submitted to the Community Development Agency, a County provided inspector will visit the site and check for compliance with the stream conservation area regulations. The property owner must provide written consent before this service is performed.
This service is voluntary and free of charge for qualifying properties.
Should this inspection reveal illegal development, this information will be forwarded to the Community Development Agency, Code Enforcement Section for corrective action.
For additional information contact Kristin Drumm at kdrumm@marincounty.org or (415) 473-6290.

Even though you’re not on Candid Camera, I hope this’ll bring you a SMILE. It’s what I did most of the day. Have you a favorite hobby that is relaxing, fun, grounding, and restorative? Send us some pics if you’d like us to share them. Hope you found some things in this issue that put a Marin Grin on your face. First time painting on rocks!
Trying to follow along these newsletters is rather confusing. They seem to be rather like installments and unless you've been following along on a very regular long-term basis you are not gonna get the big picture. Who is Peter Anderson? What do we have to do to let the Marin Water Boarders understand that their plan to use a disgusting carcinogen to rid the watershed of unwanted invasive plants is C.R.A.Z.Y. ! What do they want? Cancer, instead of invasive plants? How INSANE is this "trade off?" I wanna show up to say that to these clueless idiots to their faces! WHO GIVES THESE DEMIGODS THE RIGHT TO SPRAY OUR WATER WITH ANYTHING THAT IS EVEN SUSPECTED OF CAUSING CANCER?
I wanted to thank you for posting the information on Electroculture. I had discovered this concept last year but did not find a lot of helpful information on how to implement it. I just purchased my first PKS bronze gardening tools and I have three copper wrapped stakes in my garden (small ones). My gardening efforts for this year are just getting under way and I plan to make full use of this knowledge. Thank you very much for pointers to this very helpful resource!
