I’ve read that the LGB community is not to in favor of their movement being used to promote transgender/ Trans queen influencing our children through their story hour programs. These masks must be frightening to the kids, with whatever these guns are fake and real. Obviously this is not in our children’s best interest! I have 4 grandchildren Thankfully they are in a fairly conservative school district in PA. Since I believe things are only going to get worse in the coming years I am preparing to move out there and participate in the homeschooling program since I am a retired teacher. I don’t care much for PA 🥶 but I will sacrifice anything for them. There is a fairly decent organization out there called “No Left Turn in Education” headed by directo Elena Fishbein. I plan to be heavily involved with them. 😭🤷♀️🤓
I’m basically confused as to how this whole drag queen storytelling became such a thing that is embraced and promoted. What is the purpose? Is it to help the drag queens? The children? What is the intention of the organizers and what effect do they see it having on our youth and our societies?
That’s the bigger over arching picture. But I’m wondering, as an educator, what benefit the librarians and other people who are a part of this see to this event?
