How very disturbing! I had planned to inquire the next time I was there after watching The Highwire yesterday. Just called them and spoke to a manager (who was not familiar with Apeel or Organipeel) who suggested emailing the produce manager: Cassady@genatural.com. His extension is 209 and works M-F until 11 or 12. BTW I had inquired a couple of weeks ago and was told that none of the produce had Apeel. Please let’s inundate them with e-mails/calls.

So so lame...that an independent health food store like Good Earth isn’t more proactive and engaged about the s**t that’s in the food and products they sell... and that “they rely on the distributors” to ‘vet’ the goods they sell!

But I’ve come to realize it’s the lame ‘bliss ninny’ consciousness types that run and work in these these businesses that are the huge part of the problem. Even the OB People’s Food Coop I belong to in San Diego are delusional fools (who,

both cashiers and back end staff are still wearing masks)!

I love puns. APEEL is a highly polished marketing moniker mixing a peel with appeal. So clever that an inveterate "punographer" such as myself wishes I had though of it. That's for the name.

As for the sprayed-on coating itself, I find something about it quite unappealing.

I am preparing to email Good Earth, but in rereading your post I am somewhat confused. The title clearly says they sell produce with Apeel, but you said that they leave it to the distributors, and then they said it is not on organic produce. At the very least they are terribly uninformed, but did someone say they definitely sell Apeel produce? Because as I said in my previous post I was told they did not. I will be rewatching that segment of the Highwire to see if they were talking about Apeel and Organipeel. I want to send a strongly worded message to the produce manager, but want to make sure I have your conversation with them accurate. I will also be mentioning Natural Grocers ban as well as concern for the cumulative affect on their patrons as well as their employees who handle the produce day in and day out (can’t wash or scrub off!). I really, really hope they are aware or will elect to do their own research. At the very least, if many of us contact them, they won’t be able to say they didn’t know. As always, thank you for all you do.
