I don’t know if I believe in history. I don’t mean to be contrary or stress a point, but it’s not called herstory for a reason. Most of these books (probably Bible included and most other religions’ holy books), were most likely written by men. Why? Where are the stories of the women? In tapestries, songs, magic carpets, lullabies, designs on pottery? Where? Since I”m not a student of story, I only know what I was taught or conditioned to learn/believe, I haven’t researched the stories of woman especially pertaining to Palestine. Perhaps I will soon research stories of women in different cultures — the way-back stories from their perspectives, and I imagine that 2 women experiencing similar events may have different stories, as is true when my mother and I would recall events that seemed one way to me and a very different way to her! Who knows! For now, here are a few perspectives on Britain in Palestine, and one just on the current affairs. All from masculine viewpoints. With which I tend to agree…but who knows what’s true? In my heart I feel that there is meaning in these.

marcia, I cannot feel the same pain that you have as I have no history as a Jew. I am of the privileged WASP's.
So I focus only on what I can change and let go of the rest. I don't worry or fight about what is out of my hands.
You do great work with Marin Grin. Focus on that, take care of you and everyone in your household, sleep well, eat well and give blessings every day for our abundance.
I know, pious talk that has been repeated forever but it works for me.
Hugs
Mary
You are right. We must lead from the heart. My heart is with yours. There is no ‘right’ in this conflict. Only death. Only destruction. Only grieving mothers and fathers. But I live in a bubble. An extremely comfortable one. So what the f@@k do I know?
I know that this is an excuse to have more censorship, more division, more hate and for some, to make more money.
So the question becomes How do we resist? How do we make this stop?
What action can I take? Or should I call this a distraction and watch for what ‘they’ are doing when we are blinded by the violence?
