"Whether you like it or not," to quote him, the Newsom disaster continues. He vetoed the ability of local governments to create fire zone exemptions to new forced housing construction (SB 182, 2020), because "it would prevent expansion of low income housing." Now he pretends to do something to alleviate his and his party's material and legislative exacerbation of past and future fires and the economic disaster they brought to our state.

Newsom financed his 2021 anti-recall campaign mostly with PG&E money which he earned with his appointees to the California Public Utilities Commission, who allow PG&E to continually extort us. In addition, Kaiser Health, a major donor, gets access to

$9.5 Billion tax dollars for the 700,000 additional illegal immigrants just added to MediCal by Newsom.

His glee at raising electricity prices for our own good, while attempting to remove our ability to use natural gas alternatives, coattails his failed attempts to control the world's weather through our economic suffering.

Another of thousands of businesses fleeing Newsom's and the CaLegislature's regulatory freak show is Chevron, which is moving to Texas. They might close the Richmond and El Segundo refineries. Add to that the $1.95 per gallon additional gas tax for "clean fuel" that Newsom's appointees on the California Air Resources Board have dictated over the next three years, and we are facing $9 to $12 a gallon gas. PG&E rejoices because once priced into electric cars this makes us their captive slave.

U.S. Congressman from Roseville, Kevin Kiley, has worked tirelessly in D.C. for our benefit and is Newsom's most effective enemy. He has now created a nice all-in-one-place resource to destroy Newsom's presidential aspirations through citizen education, helping return him to the wine steward's apron in which he belongs.

Continue the Trump--RFK jr momentum into local races. Time to get active finding candidates to replace certain supervisors, and local officials. Only 13 months until the March 2026 primaries.

The Marin County elections office website is not helpful. They tell you how often elections are held, but not which races are coming up. You have to figure this out for yourself. If you saw local political campaigns on your last ballot, you have to wait four years. If not, 2026.

Local boards and commissions are a great way to affect government, part time, perhaps leading to higher office.

Any motivated individual can enter this process of political power for the common good.

You don't need to be a lawyer to speak for the people. In fact, it's a handicap, as one has to obey the state legislature's laws, based on special interests, such as those forcing housing, and can only challenge them in court. We need local leaders who have the freedom and inclination to tell the state to GFThemselves.

The back of DEI is broken at the federal level. There's still plenty to fight locally. It is important to show up in person, to speak and to protest at the supervisors' chambers when they are about to appropriate more of your money to recently hired DEI hustlers, shadow government non-profits, homeless services, and other wastes of our tax dollars.
