LOCAL CITIZENS & ENVIRONMENTALISTS DEMAND ACTION AGAINST HOMELESS SQUATTERS IN MARIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Members of 'Friends of Rush Creek', environmentalists and concerned citizens will stage a peaceful protest on Friday, May 12th at 5400 Hanna Ranch Road (in front of Thompson Builders) in Novato from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. where Eric Lucan, Marin County Supervisor, is holding his annual $75.00 Birthday/Fundraiser event.
Despite repeated vehicle fires, arrests and at least one tragic drug overdose death, Mr. Lucan and his fellow Supervisors have failed to address the humanitarian and ecological disaster that is Binford Road. National and International Media are now reporting on the 2-mile long disgrace that is allowed to fester in our County.
“We are very sympathetic to the plight of the homeless, but they must be moved away from the fragile wetlands. Our public official have refused to entertain that idea and it’s disgusting when you think about the garbage found in the water, the human feces, fentanyl and even adult diapers, said Toni Shroyer, a local activist and member of Friends of Rush Creek. Shroyer added “we have some concrete solutions to resolve this impasse but Eric Lucan and other officials refuse to listen."
The protestors demand that Marin County relocate the occupants and the 100 plus vehicles to a site closer to County services and away from a designated wetlands open space that is fast being polluted by human waste and garbage.

Note: Please meet protestors at the 2nd gated entrance to Thompson Builders on public access side of Hanna Ranch Road.
When I drive from San Rafael to Berkeley you see homeless camps under freeway overpasses. The camps start in Richmond, under the north side of Regatta on the westbound side of 580. You see more camps when you go down MKL Jr. Way to Oakland. The area around the Ashby BART station is a total camp all along the sidewalks. There are more under the MacArthur Maze overpasses. I think about the raw sewage and rat infestations from improperly stored food and food waste. These people have NO idea about communicable diseases that come from poor sanitation, diseases like typhus (carried by fleas) and more.
$75? Add a zero or two and people will think you're more important. "Homelessness" has destroyed San Francisco property values, public safety and the future of the city. Don't let its enablers remain in power in Marin. Places that spend zero tax dollars on "homeless" have very few or none. The more you spend, the more that arrive.
