Here are a couple of programs to help navigate the crazy times.
Dr. Aimie Apigian, MD, MPH, MS - ‘21 Day Journey’
Charles Eisenstein’s ‘The Sanity Project’
Ajaya Sommer’s Core Embodiment Practice
Please share in the comment ON THE SUBSTACK PLATFORM any ways you are grounding to nature and your self, and perhaps a power greater than yourself that you feel might be helpful to those with dysregulated nervous systems that have been triggered by the events of the last few years. Thank you. PS - I do not make any money or gifts for recommending these programs. I have done Dr. Aimie’s, and Ajaya’s programs, and will be a mentor (no pay) for the next 21 Day Journey starting in July.
May peace guide us all.
Dr. AIMIE APIGIAN’s 21 Day Journey
I have taken this journey and was so pleased to find that several MFR were in the course or had taken previous offerings. Dr. Aimie, Medical Doctor, Masters of Public Health, and MS Biochemistry (I think) guides us through short daily practices to reconnect with our bodies in a safe and supportive manner. Dr. Aimie, who was once herself on antidepressants, 30 pounds overweight, and shut down so she couldn’t complete her surgery residency at that time because she was in a functional freeze. She spent years finding a chemical-free way that combines somatics, parts work and biology to calm aliveness. I was so impressed by my 21 Day Journey that I continue to be mentored by her and am now in her mentorship program and studying Biology of Trauma modules in things such as neurodevelopment and attachment.

AJAYA SOMMER’S Core Embodiment
Ajaya is an amazing somatic teacher, cranio-sacral practitioner, and founder of Core Embodiment. Last year I took her 6 month apprenticeship program, open to people all over the world and to my surprise and delight, in our small group that test piloted her first offering, there were 2 members of Marin Freedom and we didn’t know we had both signed up. How wonderful to find Freedom people taking courses to learn to stay present in our bodies, to process trauma, to go beyond what’s happening out there in the creepy news, and to connect to something deeper so we can stay present and resilient to meet the challenges of these crazy times. Ajaya has a lot of programs including 1 on 1 coaching, which I did with her for over a year before becoming part of her Core Embodiment training.
I'm lucky enough to live in Sebastopol a few blocks from Ragle Park, 300 acres with several miles of trails where I do walking meditations on healing (myself + the world) several times a week.
